Devlog Week07: 4th week of production


Programming:

A lot of bugs/not-properly-working-things have been fixed, here are the biggest bugs that have been fixed: 

  • Net connection wasn't possible after restart of the game,
  • The collision on the net was not working as it should
  • Arrow, to point at the player you want to connect with, was glitching and not always doing what is should
  • The net was disconnecting really easy
  • The movement of the players when they were connected to each other was incorrect.
  •  Respawning after dying didn't work anymore
  • The menu's now work with 4 controllers

Newly added things:

  • After playtesting, we decided to disable the collision between player and food. Now the players need to connect to each other in order to please their God.
  • There is a slow field that will slow the player down if he is in it's range.
  • We've started to work on the slippery surfaces so now when a player enters such area he will slide a bit.

Characters :

Finished versions of the enemy Crab and God model.


UI:

We started to work on the UI this week with making buttons and sliders and a main BG for the menu

Particles:

Particles were made to highlight our mechanics and a some more life to our game
